Method of selecting cork flooring
1. Color: The quality of cork is depended on its color to some extent. The cork bark is divided into several levels: the outermost surface is black skin, which is the hardest part. Other part under the black skin is white or light yellow. It is very soft and is the essence of cork. Since the floor need to suffer from much weight and pressure, it is suitable to choose black skin part, which has strong resistance.
2. Density: The density of cork flooring is divided into three levels: 400-450 kg/m3; 450-500 kg/m3; and more than 500 kg/m3. Generally, 400-450 kg/m3 is enough for households. If there are heavy objects in the room, you can choose the slightly higher one. In short, you can choose a floor with a low density because it has good elasticity, heat preservation, sound absorption and vibration absorption.
3. Surface: When we select good cork flooring material, we should check whether the sanding surface of the floor is smooth, whether there are bulging particles, and whether the cork particles are pure. The method of checking whtether the length of side is straight is taking 4 pieces of the same floor, spread on the glass or the flat ground, and assemble it to see if it is seamed. Inspect the bending strength of the panel surface by closing two diagonal lines of the floor and seeing whether the curved surface is cracked or not. Finally, the glue strength test is carried out, and the small piece of cork floor is placed in the boiling water bubble, and it is found that the smooth surface of the sanding becomes uneven, which is non-conforming product, and the surface of the high quality product should have no obvious change.
