Cork floor maintenance

More and more families trend to choose cork flooring in their renovations. But how to maintain cork flooring? The following six steps would help you easily get the maintenance of cork flooring:

First: The maintenance of cork flooring is easier than other floors. We just need to use a wringed mop or rag to wipe it. It would be better to avoid bringing the sand into the room, with individual sand particles coming in and not wearing the floor. Because the sand is pressed into the elastic layer under the foot. It will be ejected when the footsteps leave. It should be reminded that it is not advisable to bring in too much sand, which will still cause flow wear. It is recommended to lay a foot pad at the door to reduce the abrasion of the sand on the floor.

Second: When cleaning the floor, do not rinse with water or clean with decontamination powder. Places that are difficult to clean should be removed with a special cleaner.

Third: Keep the floor dry and clean, try to avoid flooding, rain, and large areas of moisture. If you accidentally pour water or leave water on the ground, please wipe it off with a dry cloth.

Fourth: After 24 hours of floor installation, the furniture can be placed on the floor, and the movement of people on it should be minimized within 24 hours. Avoid strong impact on the floor, carry furniture to lift, and do not directly drag furniture legs.

Fifth: Prevent heat damage. Do not place items with high temperature such as hot water cups directly on the floor to avoid scalding the surface paint film. At the same time, try to avoid direct sunlight on the floor for a long time, so as to avoid premature cracking and aging after the paint film is exposed to ultraviolet light for a long time.

Sixth: If it is used in a place with a large flow of people, if there is wear and tear in some places after three or five years, it can be partially compensated. The coating is re-applied at the local part. The method is very simple and the sandpaper is gently used in the worn place. Polish, remove the dirt on the surface, then wipe it off with a soft dry cloth, repaint the coating, or apply a polyester film to the area.
